Lori Whitby E-RYT 500

Yoga Teacher, Trainer & Studio Owner

With over 2500 teaching hours and a graduate of 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training, Lori brings a wealth of experience. She has taught many different styles of yoga over the years and firmly believes that anybody and every body can practice yoga.  Lori's therapeutic style and supportive nature come through in all her classes. Her passion is teaching instructors how to teach progressively and inclusively so that they can teach to a wide variety of practitioners with confidence. 

Nand Narine, PhD & E-RYT 500

Yoga Teacher, Trainer & Author

Nand Narine is a from Edmonton and received his certification in Hatha Yoga from Trinity Yoga in British Columbia. He is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance in Maryland, USA and has been teaching in The Kshatriya Yoga Teachers Training Program since its inception in 2006.

Nand grew up in a traditional Hindu family in the Caribbean where Yoga, Indian music, rituals and colorful Indian festivals were prevalent. His area of interest is the Vedic scriptures with specific reference to Sanskrit mantras, chants and the singing of devotional songs using the harmonium and tabla. In the Kshatriya Teachers Training Program, he discusses the significance of mantras in yoga practice and introduces the student to various Vedic rituals and the group singing of kirtans which are usually heard during Savasana. He also provides a historical perspective of Yoga and traces its development and therapeutic benefits in contemporary societies.

Lisa Babiuk E-RYT 500

Yoga Teacher, Trainer & Studio Owner

With 25 years of teaching experience in the fitness and wellness industry, Lisa's passion and knowledge is evident as the lead instructor for the 200, 500 and 800 hour teacher training programs and is a member of the Yoga Alliance Standards Advisory Committee.

Lisa has worked with many different demographics to understand that regardless of the application, the connection between body, mind and spirit is essential.  Teaching individuals to support and guide other's as yoga teachers, Lisa taps into their gifts to allow them to grow to become exceptional teachers themselves.  With her knowledge of the energy body, she teaches students to go beyond the postures to create a beautiful experience for students in each practice.

Lisa is a supportive instructor that will create a teacher training that includes all the components to teach students to understand the healing process of yoga through the philosophies practiced over thousands of years and will guide you on your own personal journey throughout your teacher training program
